Blog posting: colin and gordie adventúre

Ok ok ok. So. Let’s start. Let’s start with this blog post with Collin and Gordie.

From the last episode, you might remember:

Train (Choo Choo!). TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN

Most of us went on a train to Vienna to do things in Vienna, while some stragglers got lost in Bratislava.

However, the second day in Vienna was filled with new encounters, experiences, and experiences.

(Subchapter: Atlas)

Atlas (pictured below) got up before the rest of us to go walk around, see palaces, see the aquarium (this is a lie), the opera, and other wonderful things. It is safe to say that Collin and I are not so adventurous.

Chapter:

Instead, we ate food that other people cooked at Café Savoy. The food was good, but we did not cook it. While we were eating food we did not make, we discussed the complexities of various geometric shapes which could be used as dining tables. Possibilities include:

  • Square

  • Rectangle

  • Squiggle

  • Circle

  • Ovál

  • Double Helix

  • Cage (Optimal)

(Attendees included me, collin, and some other people who have names, whose names are Nick, Emily, Josiah, Alex, Collin, dan, and Henry).

Café Savoy

After our foray into the cafe, together as a group we went our separate ways. Henry disappeared, going away, on the roads, because there is nowhere else to go but the roads, and the rest of us went to a market across the street from the hostel.

At the market, several of us bought things with the money we have. Gordie (me) bought some Green (not weed, it was just green). Collin (not me, but might be Green) bought some new gloves. Emily (also not me) bought some post cards, a shot glass, and a deck of cards. Dan (Dan) also bought a shot glass. Nick (    ) bought something as well.

After purchasing rather useless and mundane souvenirs from the market, for which we will not detail the intricacies of said souvenirs here, because of the pure mundanity and lack of significance of said souvenirs (which we as writers feel like would feel like a waste of space and word count, because brevity and proper punctuation is the mark of an excellent writer), we arrived at an art exhibition—the location pictured below.

Art Exhibition

The art exhibition was quite good. We as a group rated it 8/10 . I didn’t ask the rest of the group what they thought yet but this is my best guess. I have provided some tasteful photos below so you can give me your rating too:

Collection of photos rated 8/10 by the rating commission (Gordie)   .

Afterwards, some of the group went to eat Pho, while Dan met with his friend named Luna, Alex was still gone, and Gordie consumed edible food from Aldi (Hofer). On the way back to the Hostel, Dan met Alex … somewhere ...

The rest of the group also bought food from Aldi at a later period in time. Foods that were purchased include but are also limited to:

  • apple

  • worm gummy.

  • 85% dark chocolate because regular chocolate is not good enough for Emily

Subsequently, we all had a relaxation session, where we:

  • Relaxed

  • i dunno

  • what else do you want me to say

(insert transition sentence here) After doing some ‘i dunno what else do you want me to say', the group left to visit Mozart’s apartment. We got there not long before the place closed, so we had to rush to view the whole museum. We saw music sheets, and chairs, along with a piano (pictured below).

Then we went to Schnitzelwirtz, where the food was very good. The portion sizes were large, and most were unable to finish their food. On a side note, Adam called gordie fat, and we had a fun conversation about dubai chocolate.

Dobai colcalate

Actually today was quite good. We ended the day after dinner hanging out in the hostel. It was good. The rating commission gives it a 8/10. I give it a 9/10.

Either collin or gordie is writing this bye bye thank you!

(Subchapter: Kaylin)

Kaylin spent the day somewhere that was NOT Vienna. She went to the National Museum where she learned about Hungarian history from the 11th century to the 1990s. After that she headed to the Central Market which had rows of meats, paprika, souvenirs, and treats she did not make. After getting a late lunch in the form of a burrito, Kaylin went to St. Stephens Basilica. As you might remember from a previous blog post, it is a very beautiful place with things and lights. Later, she spent some time petting cats in a cat cafe. Finally she met up with Professor Berliner and Big Unc J.

(Subchapter: Emily and TJ)

Emily woke up at 8:00. Emily joined Collin and Gordie at Café Savoy where she ate food she didn’t cook. Emily went to the market, Art Museum, and lunch with Gordie and Collin (and other people who have names). TJ woke up at 12:00. TJ joined Gordie and Collin and Emily for lunch. Against logic and reason, TJ stayed with Gordie and Collin the rest of the day.

(Subchapter: Kemble, Morgan, Elizabeth, Grace, Savannah, Sydney )

In this subchapter, these people went to the St. Stephan's church (not Basilica) and visited the catacombs. They said it was cool. Like St. Stephans Balisitica, St. Stephans Church is a beautiful place with things but less lights. Atlas says it was big and gothic. He gives it 9/10 (-1 for the scaffolding).  It was given a 9/10 by the rating committee (Collin and Gordie who did not visit St. Stephan’s Church).

(Subchapter: Atlas pt 2)

Atlas went off gallivanting in the wee hours of the morning with his camera, visiting no less than 5 (five) churches, three (3) museums, two (II) restaurants, two coffee houses, and last but not least, standing through the entirety of Manon at the Vienna state opera (which he loved). Here are four pictures (although rest assured he has hundreds more).

(Subchapter: Helen, Noah, Gavin, Erika, Changmin)

Helen, Noah, Gavin, Erika, and Changmin woke up to a shock in their hostel as their hostel roommate had thrown up in the night. We quickly got ready and headed to Old Town to see St Martins Cathedral, not to be confused with St. Stephens Cathedral, or St. Stephens Church. Then they headed to Bratislava castle, where they presumably walked around (We hope). They were there for three hours before heading to a kebab place for a quick lunch before the train station, where they then headed to Vienna for the night. I (Collin or Gordie) sighted them at Schnitzelwirtz eating a lovely meal. The rating committee (which does not include Helen, Noah, Gavin, Erika, or Changmin) gave their meal a 10/10, except for Noah’s which we give a 4.3/10.  We (Collin AND Gordie) hope they had a great rest of their night.

We are signing off, Collin and Gordie, bye bye thank you.

P.S. Henry is still on the road, because there is nowhere else to go but the roads, and Alex is still ... somewhere...
