Day One

First Day in Budapest!

Hey team! 

     Waking up was rough, but we had a lavish breakfast waiting for us downstairs. Helen downed three coffees and Erika asked if we could go take a nap (only an hour after we had woken up).  We anxiously awaited Noah's arrival after his rough journey. 

     After breakfast, we met with Emese and some Hungarian students for ice breaker games where we learned that half of our classmates would eat human flesh. lol. Then! We set out on a "poltics-free" walking tour as the snow started getting heavier. 

 We walked towards the Danube and took the tram to the Parliment building with our guides and ended in Liberty Square. We learned about its history and significance, and met with our old pal, Ronald Reagan. 

 

We walked right down the street for Langos, a round fried flat bread with sour cream, cheese and other toppings. Noah won, because the waiter told him that he ordered his favorite, and brought Noah special balsamic vinegar.

 We all split after that, with the sun setting, and the snow getting heavier. A group of us headed to the fashion street area in search of various goods. The tiled sidewalk on the way there was treacherous. For the few of us who went to Müller, we had a very successful journey. The three authors of this post then went back to their room and crashed hard. Now we must make plans for dinner.
