The Day 6 Day Trip
Hatodik Nap! (Day 6)
Rise and shine! Today began with an early start at 8:30. Most of us were ready on time, but one poor lost soul was left behind (sad). We traveled as a group through the metro to get to the train station. We had a few minutes to spare before boarding the train, in which our lost lamb was saved by Professor Berliner.
The Train Station
After a short ride on the train, we arrived at the first destination of the day's excursion, Vác, “the Northfield of Hungary”. We met in the town center, an hour early to our ferry across the Danube river. While waiting for the ferry, we broke off into separate groups to explore Vác, “The Northfield of Hungary”. Some of us followed Bence to climb the 210 kétszáztíz stairs, so many! While others, the cooler ones, found themselves in several cafes across Vác “The Northfield of Hungary”.
Chapter 2, The Ferry
Together again, we boarded the ferry to leave Vác “the Northfield of Budapest”. After an hour outside, many of us were quite cold, and were happy to board the bus on the other side. Eventually, with some traveling hiccups, we made it to the second destination of the day's outing, a town called Visegrád.

Part C, Medieval
Following much mystery of the main event, we were greeted by drum rolls, hot wine, and tea. Then we were able to witness some exciting performances by Hungarian soldiers. After watching the performance, we got a chance to try out the Medieval Hungarian weapons and clothes. Then we headed to a medieval-themed restaurant where we had a 3-course meal.

Section 4, day VI
We finally made it to the last destination of the day’s ramble, Szentendre. Here we had a wonderful time tasting chocolate at Édeni Édességek Boltja, which translates to Paradice of Sweets. We learned all about chocolate and how it’s made from the experts at Édeni. Afterward, we took a little jaunt around Szentendre led by Bence. Following this, we lost Professor Berliner, may he rest in peace. However, we all made it back to the train and hotel, safe and sound (excluding Professor Berliner, may he rest in peace), which concluded the day's foray.
Scrumptious tasting time
Finale: The End
To round out the day, a small group hit the town to celebrate Kembel’s birthday, which is actually on the 11th. Happy Birthday Kembel!!!!
