Day 7: Parliament Tour

After staying up so long last night participating in wholesome activities and doing math homework, most of the “Buda Baddiez” slept in on Sunday morning. A few got some matcha, though. In the afternoon they took a tram to see the spectacular Hungarian Parliament building. Inside were beautiful golden ceilings, staircases, hallways, and even the Hungarian crown jewels ("no taking pictures!"), flanked by two armed guards ready to brutalize us. The tour continued past statues of Hungarian historical figures and ended with a model, historical and technical information about its construction, and finally a gift shop.

Then we needed to get some work done, and what better place than the abandoned shopping mall connected to our hotel? Witness the breakthroughs being made. But soon enough our heroes grew hungry, and Collin was dumb enough to listen to dinner recommendations from a loud ASU student, who praised Travis' Tenders, a delightful American-inspired fast food restaurant. Then we stopped for some chimney cakes—Clyde knocked over the store display, so he was banned for life—before heading back to the hotel.

Of course, the best way to end the weekend is with some late-night office hours, where math master Adam Berliner showed up (late) to share his incredible insight with us. Come to slave away at your problem sets, and stay for the snacks, or to watch Gordie chug lemon juice!
